Matt Shanahan is a filmmaker and animator

With over 40 short films and media projects created, Matt Shanahan has acquired a wide breadth of knowledge in the media space. He creates fictional Short Films, Digital Illustrations, and 3D renders/animations. Several pieces of his work have been featured in film festivals around the state of Colorado.

Matt began making films with his parents’ video camera and quickly discovered a true passion for all forms of media as a tool for communication and storytelling. Now having graduated from the University of Colorado with a degree in Media Production and a minor in Business, Matt wants to take these learnings and apply them as a career. Matt believes that his experience and education will allow him to lend valuable insight and input to a corporation or company in the creation of media solutions.

Matt's skills include editing programs such as Adobe After Effects, Blender, Unreal Engine, Unity, and Adobe Photoshop. Matt edits most of his work using Final Cut Pro, as well as, Adobe Premiere while working with After Effects.

In the summer of 2020, Matt created the production company Shanahan Media. Matt now uses the Shanahan Media name while creating his Short Films.
